As a social not-for-profit enterprise, our vision for the NLHA is to develop transformative health care solutions that improve population health outcomes by supporting public healthcare initiatives.

These Initiatives are primarily aimed at improving population health by increasing access to public medical care needs through partnerships and sponsoring projects across a broad range of health care providers, innovators, and sub sectors.

A Proven National Model

For decades in many jurisdictions across Canada, similar not-for-profit organizations have become instrumental partners in public healthcare delivery by working with hospital networks, governmental health organizations and health authorities. NLHA is aiming to fill a similar need in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Mission > Trade > Profit > Reinvest

With initial funding in place, the NLHA follows the well-respected model for social enterprises of “Mission – Trade – Profit - Reinvest”. Meaning with our mission defined and in place, the organization will carry out projects and initiatives that drive the mission forward. The resulting funds generated from those projects get reinvested back into the organization to begin new projects that continue to strengthen our purpose and mission.

A Team That's Supporting Change

NLHA brings together a proven and experienced team in healthcare delivery, innovation, efficiency, property management, design, construction, and finance to support real change to the healthcare landscape of Newfoundland and Labrador
